Good afternoon

First let us thanks to Allah SWT, because of his mercy and blessing we can gather here in this occasion in a good day and in a good condition.

And don’t forget to send our shalawat and greet to our beloved prophet Muhammad SAW, who guided us from the darkness era into the brightness era that we are living now.

Ladies and gentlemen

I would like to say thank you very much for the mc and all of you in this occasion, who give me a chance to stand in here to give my brief speech.

And let me introduce my self, my name is Fatihatur rahmi azizah, you can call me azizah, i’m from SMAN 2 Bengkulu.

Indeed it’s a very great pleasure for me in this precious chance to deliver my speech in front of you all, with theme “Becoming Indonesian Youth in The Cyberspace” and entitled “Cybercrime Part of Our Cyberspace”

Ladies and gentlemen

Have you ever take a selfie and uploaded it to instagram, path, tumblr, or other social media? I’m sure almost all of us ever do that right? At least once in our life. And ladies and gentlemen, have you ever shared about your feeling at blog, wordpress, girls and other cyberspace? I’m sure many of us ever do that right?

Before i explain my reason to deliver that question to you. Let me change people’s mind about cyberspace and social media. Many people said that social media and cyberspace are same or different at all. But actually, cyberspace and social media are different. Cyberspace is a big one and social media is a part of cyberspace.    

My reason will show you about the differences of cyberspace and social media, and to show you about the little things that we always do can be a cybercrime, such as human trafficking, deceit someone online, bullying and other cruel case that may happen to us. And in this chance i will tell you about that.

Cyberspace come from latin words kubernan, that means dominate or reach out. While the first word of cyberspace used by Wiliam Gibsom in his scientific novel “Neuromancer” that was published in 1984.

Developed of cyberspace is becoming more influential to society at every level. Cyberspace don’t only make social alteration. Cyberspace influence society. Actually, cyberspace has many positive impact, like it is very usefull for all people in all over the world such as, get many information from google, getting our solution in yahoo, can buy things cheaper and unique in e-bay. It doesn’t mean i want to promote that media, but it show us how important that for people in daily life. You don’t need go out for a book, asking your neighbour about your solution, or goes around city to buy a thing. Put i like, yin and yang principles in chine. If there’s a positive there will a negative impact too.

The negative impact of cyberspace is usually called cybercrime. And why it called? Because the negative impact from cyberspace too extreme until endanger people, such as human trafficking, sexual harassment, bullying, and other cruel case that may happen to our Indonesia.

And we let’s take a look at online prostitution. The number online prostitution user become larger in Indonesia. And that things disturb many people in Indonesia. There’re many families get divorces because husband is found being an user in online prostitution. The impact from online prostitution also possibly influence teenagers like us. The teenagers could be the user of that online prostitution. It means with online prostitution it can break our Indonesian youth soul. And soekarno ever said that, “give me ten men, i’ll rock the world”, but if he still alive and see it happen, he might say, “where’s my youth, i need my youth to rock this world, not to be trapped by cybercrime”.

And ladies and gentlemen

Why it can happening to our youth? Let me tell you, there 3 factors which affect our youth. The factors are:

1.       Lack of socialization, because lack of socialization the youth become doesn’t care with surrounding or social life. While it is very important for us as a human.

2.       Lack of knowledge, the youth doesn’t think about their life they are just thinking about simply life and do what they want.

3.       Lack of parents care. Actually, parents care is very important for youth to grow. But, with lack of parents care it will break the essence of youth to grow. They’ll think parents is not important for their life. From that 3 factors it show us why it can happen to or Indonesian youth.

And what do we need to do? Do we need to wait, do we need to run around, do we need to eat a lot? No, we need to move faster, we need to change. When? Right now! In here who want to be my followers to make a change? The steps are:

1.       Use your gadget only when you need it. So you don’t just live in cyberspace. You actually have a real life, you need social interaction not fake interaction.

2.       Believe in your self. Remember that, you’re what you think. If you think positive, you will do positive, you will be positive, you will do great things.

3.       Love local product. By loving our local product it means a help to our Indonesian entrepreneur. And directly it will give a benefit to Indonesian economy.

4.       Be creative, be productive, be innovative

Ladies and gentlemen

For me cyberspace is like a candy, i am sure many of us like candy, right? It’s sweet, delicious, everyone loves it. It can make everyone happy. But if we eat it every time, it can destroy us slowly, it can make you get diabetes and it will kill you slowly.

Because my mentor ever said that, to be a success person there are 3 steps “look, follow, modify” so there’s you are to use cyberspace.
